Vision Enhancement Therapy
Whatever we need to learn ... we can learn to do better. It is very obvious to all when we watch a would be athlete who has not learned how to be an effective basketball player, or a would be pianist who has never mastered the skills. However, It is not quite so obvious to easily identify those individuals who have never learned how to efficiently use their visual system. Many youngsters, and even adults have in effect, a "hidden disability" when it comes to processing information from a printed page, or effectively returning a tennis ball.
Youngsters with inefficient visual motor skills, or visual percetual skills can be at a distinct disadvantage when asked to perform classroom skills. Poor visual skills can cause youngsters to have headaches, eyestrain, fatigue, frustration, disinterest or claim that "reading is boring". It is estimated that one out of four children have deficiencies in their visual motor systems that interfere with the learning process.
Vision Enhancement Therapy is a means of learning how to develop those skills necessary for us to use our visual system to maximum efficiency for the task we are doing, whether it be reading, shooting baskets or returning the tennis ball.
Whatever we need to learn to do ... we can learn to do better!
