New Photographic Instrumentation

In order to enhance our ability to prevent, diagnose, treat and monitor eye diseases we have added a very sophisticated bio microscope manufactured by the Swiss company Haag-Streit. 

The optics of the microscope are superb, and it is combined with an incredible digital computerized system to capture and store images.  In this way we can monitor changes, which will dictate treatment options. 

The Haag-Streit slit lamp will better able us to examine the anterior part of the eye, to evaluate possible conditions such as dry eyes, red eyes, cataracts, iritis, corneal foreign bodies, dystrophies or inflammations, and other conditions that may affect comfort and/or vision.

The computerized system is also tied in with our Canon retinal camera, which for many years has allowed us to take, and keep, pictures of the inside of the eye, to monitor changes of the retina.
