Cirrus OCT

The Cirrus Optical Coherence Technology (OCT) allows us to take an incredible ten layer diagnostic image of the retina, which is about as thick as cellophane paper.  This diagnostic equipment will allow us to see and monitor early  macular degeneration, changes due to diabetes, high blood pressure retinal and vitreal detachments, and glaucoma.  

It is our goal for all of our patients to be able to see until they are at least 105. This instrument will allow us to monitor potential changes and provide early care if needed to prevent a potential loss of vision. 

When working with retinal specialists, we can take and send OCT images to them, which are valuable in helping them determine potential care.
